In principle, you can use the insect catcher to catch anything that fits in the catcher basket – be it wasps, flies, beetles, spiders or other creepy-crawlies. However, it is advisable not to catch butterflies with this device. Uncontrolled fluttering around in the catching basket could seriously injure the wings. This can result in the butterfly no longer being able to fly.
